Pistol Skills: Target Transitions
The Pistol Skills: Target Transitions class is designed to enhance the skills of shooters by focusing on the critical techniques of transitioning between multiple targets with speed and precision. This course emphasizes dynamic shooting drills that improve target acquisition, accurate shot placement, and smooth transitions between varying distances and threat levels. Participants will learn to optimize their stance, movement, and visual acuity to effectively engage multiple targets.
Length: 3 hours
Required Items:
- NYS Pistol Permit, active HR218, or Law Enforcement ID
- Semi-auto pistol
- Three magazines
- Belt-mounted holster (no Serpa style holsters permitted)
- Belt-mounted magazine pouch capable of holding two magazines
- 5” rigid belt or a tactical style outer belt
- Minimum of 250 rounds of ammunition (no steel cased ammunition allowed)
- Eye protection
- Ear protection (electronic preferred)
- Boots or sneakers (open toe shoes not allowed)
- Jeans, BDU’s or canvas type pants (no shorts)
- Tee or long sleeve shirt (no tank tops)
